Eric Mungufeni Adroa

Location
Uganda
Sustainability Zone

Eric Mungufeni Adroa is an innovator dedicated to addressing dependence on biomass fuels for cooking and heating, which harm both the environment and human health. He is developing a solution that creates cleaner, more efficient fuels that reduce smoke inhalation risks and limit deforestation by repurposing waste and invasive plant species. By focusing on this work, he aims to protect forests, improve air quality, and safeguard communities from preventable health issues. This mission is deeply personal to him because his own mother has suffered from the health impacts of biomass fuel, and he has seen the destructive toll of deforestation in his village. With determination and vision, Eric is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
