Ainomugisha Shifra is an innovator dedicated to addressing low crop yields and food waste among smallholder farmers in East Africa. She is developing a solution that uses LYN AI, a WhatsApp chatbot that guides rural farmers on farming methods, pest control, market linkages, and post-harvest handling. By focusing on this work, she aims to improve food production and reduce waste. This work is deeply personal to her because she grew up in a tomato-growing family and faced these challenges season after season. She relates personally to the communities affected. With determination and vision, Ainomugisha is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
