Ansiima Casinga is a dedicated activist from Uganda, committed to addressing the pressing issues of hunger, malnutrition, climate change, and pollution consequences in the Nakivale refugee camp. This diverse community, comprising individuals from 9 different nationalities, relies heavily on agriculture for survival. Ansiima's passion for creating positive change stems from her deep connection to the community, having spent her youth there and experienced firsthand the challenges they face.

Through her work in developing and implementing permaculture trainings, raising awareness about climate change solutions, and establishing community gardens as spaces for learning and collaboration, Ansiima is driving impactful change in Nakivale. Her vision is to not only improve the quality of agriculture in the camp but also to create job opportunities and foster cultural exchange among residents, ultimately building a more sustainable and peaceful environment for future generations.
