Project description

Safisha provides solar-powered, portable water purifier kits that treat water from any community source, making it safe to drink. Inspired by SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), the project increases equitable access to safe drinking water for underserved communities in Uganda.

The beVisioneers journey

Most households burn approximately 6.3 kg of wood fuel daily to boil water for purification — a costly, polluting, and inefficient cycle that Safisha was built to break. 39 paying customers and 16 installed solar purifier kits have cut household fuel use and bottled-water spend, earning €2,756 in early revenue. Targeting 500 households by March 2027.
