Aaron NUWAMANYA

To respond to the challenges faced by communities in understanding and responding to the impacts of climate change, Aaron is dedicated to increasing awareness, knowledge, and local governance through access to information and participatory capacity-building training programs. With a strong focus on engaging youth and women as Environmental Community Monitors (ECMs) and Trainers of Trainers (TOTs), Aaron promotes a cascading model approach to empower current and future generations.
Through mobilizing communities to establish/maintain Environmental Community Monitoring Groups (ECMGs) as citizen assemblies and adopt usage of Digital Participation Platforms (DPPs), Aaron aims to facilitate active citizen participation in policy and decision-making processes at all levels. He believes that informed, activated, and empowered communities, particularly the most vulnerable& marginalized groups, can make a significant impact in addressing the ongoing climate crisis.
