Ragina Njeri Gitau

Ragina Njeri Gitau is an innovator dedicated to addressing the lack of safe public spaces for women and children in Nairobi. She is developing a solution that uses tactical urbanism to activate public spaces and create mobility hubs where women and children can learn cycling skills and feel safer in the city. By focusing on this work, she aims to increase community participation in urban planning, improve safety, and encourage sustainable transport that reduces emissions. This mission is deeply personal to her because unsafe neighborhoods restrict women’s and children’s mobility and opportunities. With determination and vision, Ragina is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
