Samuel Aboagye

Sustainability Zone

Aboagye Samuel is an innovator dedicated to addressing the toxic tailings left by mining activities, which degrade soil, harm ecosystems, and prevent vegetation recovery. He is developing a solution that uses red wigglers to decompose forest waste into vermicompost that enhances soil quality and supports ecological restoration. By focusing on this work, he aims to create a low-cost, nature-based solution that addresses both forest waste and remediation while restoring soil and supporting agriculture and reforestation. This work is deeply personal to him because, as someone from a mining region, he has seen the lasting damage of tailings and is driven to find sustainable ways to heal land and empower affected communities. With determination and vision, Aboagye is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
