Sarah Akhtar is an innovator dedicated to addressing the difficulty of finding safe, affordable, and welcoming rental homes, especially for marginalized communities facing bias and lack of personalized housing options. She is developing a solution that builds an app to help people find rental homes tailored to their needs, with a focus on safety, affordability, and inclusion. By focusing on this work, she aims to empower renters, reduce housing discrimination, and create more inclusive neighborhoods. This work is deeply personal to her because she has seen loved ones struggle to find safe, welcoming housing and wants to build tools that help marginalized people feel at home where they live. With determination and vision, Sarah is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
