David Ojok is an innovator dedicated to addressing the high cost, long cooking time, and environmental harm of traditional bean preparation in Africa. He is developing Eco-Beans, a solution that offers pre-cooked, dehydrated beans that reduce cooking time from three hours to 30 minutes. By focusing on this work, he aims to save households time, money, and energy while reducing firewood use, deforestation, and indoor air pollution. This mission is deeply personal to him, as he grew up watching his mother spend hours cooking beans over smoky firewood, which later caused her health issues. With determination and vision, David is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
