Fátima Alonso is a biologist, science communicator, and creative educator from Mexico dedicated to inspiring the next generation through accessible and engaging science education. She is the founder of Bichos Creativos, an educational initiative that uses art, storytelling, and games to teach children about biodiversity, sustainability, and climate justice in a fun and meaningful way.

As a teacher to over 800 students, Fátima has designed and led hands-on experiments that ignite curiosity and foster scientific thinking in both preschool and elementary classrooms. She is also a journalist and illustrator, using her artistic talents to bring complex scientific concepts to life. Fátima’s mission is to connect young minds with the natural world and empower them to become changemakers in their own communities.
