Kate Haggar

Location
Kenya
Sustainability Zone

Kate Haggar is an innovator dedicated to addressing sex tourism and exploitation in coastal Kenya, particularly of women and children. She is developing a solution that creates safe, sustainable alternatives through eco-farming, waste reduction, and climate education, turning survival into sustainability. By focusing on this work, she aims to protect vulnerable groups, create green income opportunities, and inspire new models of eco-dignity that shield against exploitation. This work is deeply personal to her because she has witnessed how poverty and lack of opportunity push women and youth into unsafe conditions. She wants to create dignified, sustainable options that protect and empower. With determination and vision, Kate is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
