Florent Iradukunda

Florent Iradukunda is an innovator dedicated to addressing poverty, food insecurity, and malnutrition in Rusizi, Rwanda, where limited livestock knowledge and high feed costs hinder agricultural development. He is developing a solution that promotes hydroponic fodder systems and livestock farming training to lower feed costs and boost productivity. By focusing on this work, he aims to reduce poverty and malnutrition, create jobs for youth and women, and strengthen food security across the region, with potential to expand to the DRC and Burundi. This work is deeply personal to him because he grew up in Rusizi and witnessed how poverty and malnutrition affect lives. With determination and vision, Florent is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
