Evangelista Tanyaradzwa Chapita

Evangelista Tanyaradzwa Chapita is an innovator dedicated to addressing the environmental harm caused by synthetic hair, which is plastic-based, polluting to produce, and lacks sustainable disposal options. She is developing a solution that creates hair extensions from biodegradable natural materials that are safe for both people and the planet. By focusing on this work, she aims to prevent synthetic hair from piling up in landfills, eliminate microplastic pollution, and ensure safer alternatives for users. This work is deeply personal to her because, as a user of hair extensions herself, she does not want beauty to come at the cost of health or the environment. With determination and vision, Evangelista is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
