Diana Stephanie Angeles Cruz

Diana Stephanie Angeles Cruz is an innovator dedicated to addressing the spread of invasive mollusks in Queretaro, which harm rivers, displace native species, and threaten farmers’ livelihoods. She is developing a solution that repurposes mollusk shells into crafts, food supplements, soil and water buffers, filters, and raw construction materials. By focusing on this work, she aims to empower local communities with economic opportunities while restoring healthy ecosystems. This mission is deeply personal to her, as a biologist passionate about freshwater environments who is committed to conserving ecosystems and protecting native species. With determination and vision, Diana is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
