Bryan Akthur Alexander

Bryan Akthur Alexander is an innovator dedicated to addressing urban food loss, which drives emissions while communities nearby suffer food insecurity. He is developing a solution that builds a community-based circular food system to redirect surplus food to vulnerable families and compost unavoidable waste. By focusing on this work, he aims to reduce hunger, cut landfill waste, and create a scalable model for other cities. This work is deeply personal to him because, as a public health student in a megacity, he witnesses the injustice of wasted food daily and feels a moral duty to act. With determination and vision, Bryan is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
