Vedika Arora is an innovator dedicated to addressing India’s waste management crisis, where over 62 million tons of waste are mismanaged annually. She is developing a solution that introduces AI-powered smart bins in schools and neighborhoods to sort waste at the source and reward users for sustainable practices. By focusing on this work, she aims to reduce open dumping, promote recycling, and create scalable behavioral change in waste management. This work is deeply personal to her because growing up in Delhi, she saw children playing near towering landfills and felt compelled to act. With determination and vision, Vedika is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
