Marjia Siddik

Marjia Siddik is an innovator dedicated to addressing poor waste management and illegal dumping in underserved communities like Tallaght, where overflowing bins and neglect harm both people and the environment. She is developing a solution that uses drones to map waste hotspots and smart bins with sensors to optimize collection routes, supported by QR code reporting for residents. By focusing on this work, she aims to make public spaces cleaner, reduce health risks, and empower communities to take part in environmental management, with potential to scale across Ireland. This work is deeply personal to her because she grew up seeing these problems daily, and to her, it is not just about waste but about fairness, dignity, and equity. With determination and vision, Marjia is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
