Gokul Kathirvel

Gokul Kathirvel is an innovator dedicated to addressing unregulated mass tourism and lack of nature education, which threaten biodiversity and long-term balance in nature. He is developing a solution called Conservation Travel, which inspires people to co-create solutions through community-based conservation projects and travel programs. By focusing on this work, he aims to connect indigenous knowledge with research, educate travelers, and redirect tourism spending to local conservation initiatives. This work is deeply personal to him because, as a naturalist and conservationist, he has seen firsthand how unchecked tourism damages ecosystems while tourists remain unaware of their role in the problem. With determination and vision, Gokul is paving the way for sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
