Tabitha Willis is a dedicated researcher and health advocate from the United States, with a passion for addressing environmental injustices in low-income and minority urban areas. Hailing from the Southside of Chicago, Tabitha has experienced firsthand the impacts of heavy metal contamination in soil, which can lead to serious health issues such as Alzheimer's, skin problems, lung damage, and cancer.

Tabitha's project focuses on utilizing Phytoremediation and innovative engineering solutions to combat heavy metal pollution and revitalize communities by creating more green spaces, parks, and safe infrastructure. With a deep understanding of the city's history of environmental racism, Tabitha is committed to leveraging her work to address systemic injustices and decrease heavy metal exposure in underserved communities of color.

Through her efforts, Tabitha aims to increase access to green spaces in historically under-resourced communities and ultimately scale her impact nationally and beyond. Tabitha Willis is a visionary leader driving positive change for communities in need.
