Shivani Parikh is a dedicated legal advocate based in the United States, focused on addressing the inadequate legal defense for South Asian Americans facing environmental racism. With a passion for advocating for inclusive justice, Shivani's work aims to dismantle the pervasive influence of the model minority myth that often obscures the struggles of working-class and immigrant South Asians. Recognizing the urgent need to incorporate South Asians into racial justice frameworks, Shivani is committed to advocating for comprehensive solutions that address the unique challenges faced by the community.

Through her project, Shivani is actively working to provide legal defense and advocate for South Asian Americans impacted by environmental racism, with a keen focus on the fair resettlement process of climate refugees from South Asia in the next decade.
