Prosper Baraka Alpha

Prosper Baraka Alpha is a dedicated agricultural innovator from Uganda, driven by a passion to combat soil degradation and eradicate malnutrition in Kyangwali refugee settlement and host communities in western Uganda. With a focus on increasing access to fresh vegetables and raising household income, Prosper's project aims to empower young people and women through skills training in climate-smart agricultural techniques like hydroponics. By promoting community-led initiatives and inspiring the adoption of modern farming practices, Prosper seeks to address the environmental, social, and economic challenges facing agriculture today.

Recognizing the critical role of healthy soil in enhancing agricultural productivity and economic growth, Prosper is committed to engaging youth in sustainable agriculture practices. Through technology integration and the adoption of innovative farming techniques, his project aims to create employment opportunities, empower farmers, and improve the overall well-being of refugees in the region. With a vision for a more sustainable future, Prosper Baraka Alpha is leading the way towards a healthier, more prosperous agricultural sector in Uganda.
