Migram Duduzile
Migram Duduzile, a passionate advocate from South Africa, is dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of menstrual hygiene in her community. Recognizing the barriers faced by young girls who cannot afford sanitary pads, Migram is committed to making a difference. In many schools, the lack of access to menstrual products leads to absenteeism among girls, impacting their education and well-being. Moreover, the improper disposal of used pads in illegal dumping sites poses a threat to the environment.
Driven by a desire to empower young girls and promote sustainability, Migram has initiated a project to introduce reusable menstrual pads to school girls. These washable pads not only offer a cost-effective solution but also contribute to reducing waste in the community. Drawing from her own experiences witnessing friends struggle to access menstrual products, Migram is determined to ensure that every young girl has access to washable pads. By providing education on sewing washable pads, Migram aims to restore dignity, confidence, and hygiene to young girls, ultimately improving school attendance and fostering a cleaner environment.
