In Mombasa, where 120 tons of plastic waste accumulate daily with minimal recycling efforts, Lawrence saw an opportunity to make a difference. By transforming plastic waste into eco-friendly, affordable, and durable school desks, he not only provides students with a conducive learning environment but also contributes to environmental sustainability. Driven by the desire to empower students and combat plastic pollution, Lawrence's eco-desks initiative aims to uplift communities in Mombasa's informal settlements. Through his innovative approach, he not only addresses the lack of proper school furniture but also actively contributes to the circular economy and environmental conservation efforts.
