BuriCare offers KangaCare, a smart, eco-friendly baby carrier for preterm infants made from biodegradable plant-based yarn with integrated biosensors for continuous warmth and monitoring, supporting Kangaroo Mother Care and reducing neonatal mortality.
The beVisioneers journey
They successfully conducted a pilot study for the Pro BuriCare carrier, which integrates vital sign monitoring sensors, at Rwekubo Health Centre IV. During this study, they engaged 85 mother–baby pairs and 27 healthcare workers.
