Andres Reynoso

Location
Mexico

Andres Reynoso, a dedicated environmental activist from Mexico, is on a mission to address the pressing issue of drought in Mexico City and its surrounding areas. With the water supply systems depleting rapidly, nearly 9 million people in the region are at risk of facing water scarcity in the near future. Andres' innovative project focuses on establishing a network of rainwater collection systems equipped with cutting-edge technologies to maximize water harvesting throughout the year, particularly in underserved neighborhoods.

Recognizing the urgent need for community education, Andres aims to raise awareness and empower residents to take proactive measures against the impending water crisis. Motivated by the lack of government intervention and the apathy of the local population, Andres believes in the collective strength of ordinary citizens to drive meaningful change. By fostering a sense of unity and self-reliance, his initiative not only addresses the immediate water shortage but also instills a sense of empowerment and sovereignty among the affected communities. Andres' grassroots efforts are poised to make a significant impact on his local community, demonstrating the power of collective action in tackling environmental challenges.
