Ananya Kedia

Ananya Kedia, a passionate environmentalist from India, is the visionary behind the innovative project (Up)wards(cycling). Focused on tackling the alarming issue of solid waste, particularly plastic waste, generated by the gifting industry, Ananya's project aims to revolutionize the way we approach waste management. By upcycling used apparel and various forms of paper, Ananya transforms them into eco-friendly gift bags and wrapping papers, effectively reducing the environmental impact of traditional gifting practices.

Hailing from Delhi, Ananya is acutely aware of the city's hazardous AQI levels and the detrimental effects of smog caused by unchecked waste accumulation. Through (Up)wards(cycling), she not only addresses these pressing environmental concerns but also empowers underserved communities, especially women, by involving them in the production process and leveraging their traditional expertise.
