Governance; Incentives & Capacity Building

Amber Akanke Amoo-Gottfried, hailing from the United Kingdom, is a passionate advocate for climate justice and social impact. Recognizing the detrimental effects of 'carbon tunnel vision' on vulnerable communities worldwide, Amber has dedicated herself to developing the innovative 'Climate Justice Journey Tool'. This tool empowers climate-conscious SMEs to navigate their sustainability journey while prioritizing the needs of marginalized populations often overlooked in traditional climate action initiatives.

Amber's commitment to addressing environmental injustice is deeply personal, as a working-class woman of color who understands the importance of amplifying diverse voices in the fight against climate change. Through her initiative, she aims to train ambitious youths from underprivileged backgrounds in climate literacy, equipping them to become freelance consultants and support clients in utilizing the 'Climate Justice Journey Tool'.

With a vision to empower marginalized communities to lead on climate action, Amber's work is poised to make a meaningful impact on both environmental sustainability and social equity.
