Alexander Maximilian Lorenz Austria is a passionate young architect dedicated to reshaping the future of building design in developing countries. Recognizing the shortcomings of globalized architecture in addressing local climate, culture, and environmental concerns, he advocates for a more sustainable approach through contemporary vernacular architecture. By blending traditional vernacular principles with modern techniques and innovative use of local resources, Alexander aims to create buildings that harmonize with their surroundings while meeting the needs of users.

Driven by a vision of a more resilient and environmentally conscious future, Alexander has initiated a pilot project with the Akshar School in Guwahati, India, to transform their campus into a model of sustainable design. Through this collaboration, he seeks to inspire the next generation to reconsider the way buildings are constructed and promote a more holistic approach to architecture. With a focus on balance, nature, comfort, and user needs, Alexander is committed to creating a built environment that fosters both prosperity and sustainability.
